About This Project

Get a healthier smile with invisalign and orthodontics.

If you or your child are in need of corrective dental treatment, our staff is fully trained to meet your needs. Among our many services, we provide traditional braces and Invisalign. These orthodontic procedures straighten teeth and improve bite, resulting in a healthier smile. Van Buskirk and Krischke DDS, LLC is dedicated to creating a family-friendly environment, without sacrificing quality, professional service.

Traditional Wire and Brackets

Traditional wire, brackets, and elastics create pressure on the teeth. The membrane surrounding the teeth expand and contract, causing the teeth to loosen from the gum line. As the teeth gradually become straighter, the teeth move less and the membrane grows to support the new position of the tooth.

Depending on individual needs, traditional braces may need to be worn for a few months to several years to ensure the teeth are aligned properly without damaging the teeth.

We take special care of our patients who need orthodontics. Adult braces can be done at any age, though screening for orthodontics should begin at age seven with treatment beginning between age 8-14.

We offer a wide selection of colored elastics for you to choose from, and we provide both fixed and removable retainers after your treatment to ensure your smile lasts for a lifetime.

Considering Invisalign?

Modern technology enables us to correct and straighten teeth without the use of traditional wires and brackets. Invisialign is a safe alternative to traditional treatment, and it involves a series of clear, removable aligners. These aligners gradually straighten your teeth, in much the same way as braces. Unlike wires and brackets, Invisalign retainers can be removed so you can eat, drink, floss, and brush your teeth at your convenience.

If you are a candidate for Invisalign, you will be required to wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks. As each aligner is replaced with the next in the series, your teeth will gradually and gently move until they have straightened to their final position. To make sure you r treatment is progressing as planned, you will need to visit us every 4-6 weeks.

As with traditional wire and brackets, Invisalign patients may need to wear their corrective treatment for several months to several years, with total time varying depending on individual needs.
