Dr. Krischke and Dr. Van Buskirk really love our community and work hard to make it a better place to live. Dr. Van Buskirk has lived in northwest Indiana his whole life, other than attending dental school at Indiana University. Chicago native Dr. Krischke has grown to love this area as his home. So it’s no wonder they want to support the local community when they can.
Dr. Krischke on Community Involvement
We like to think we're involved in the community. We try to sponsor as many of the high school, elementary programs in the area. We've sponsored the team sports at the high school. We've sponsored team sports at all the other elementary level and middle school levels. Every February for Dental Health Month, we go out to the schools and teach the kids how to brush. Why we should brush. What happens if we don't and I think last year we probably saw about 700 different students at probably four or five different schools. In addition to that, we just are always constantly just trying to be involved in and support the community. When the community hears Van Buskirk and Krischke, I want them to think that, ‘Hey, that's ... I can go there. I know those guys. I've heard about them. They're good. They're gonna treat me right. They're gonna treat me fair. And once I get there, I'm gonna want to stay there because I'm comfortable being there.’
