I had traditional braces and he just like every month when I came in just made sure that everything was going good and changed my wires. And originally I had a tooth in the middle of my mouth and then I … it’s now in the front and everything. It was really smooth. Like I thought it was going to be very crazy because my teeth were awful, but he actually made it really smooth and it went a little bit longer than we thought but that’s because things came up that we didn’t know were going to come up and like I had baby teeth that had never fallen out so he had to pull those.
And so I think it just was like it went longer but they came out better because it went longer. In the beginning I didn’t want to take pictures. My dad had printed a picture on a blanket for my mouth. I was like, “No, that’s not going to work.” I don’t like smile and now like I’m always smiling and I’m a lot more happier and confident like in school or in public.
I would recommend here because they are just always so nice and everything they do comes out fantastic. You won’t regret coming because they’re … they tell you if something’s going to hurt and usually nine times out of 10 it doesn’t hurt. You don’t feel anything. If you’re looking for somewhere where you’re going to be relaxed, calm and everybody’s nice, this is a really nice place to come to.

When you went to bed everything was fine, or so you thought.
But this morning, the left side of your face is throbbing with pain. It seemed like it came out of nowhere. You take a few pain relievers, but that has only dulled the pain a bit.
You tried brushing your teeth, but even that hurt when you scrubbed on a certain part of your mouth. Eating is too difficult because chewing hurts. Even drinking your morning coffee was much more painful than you expected.

Stop Suffering Sooner
For many patients, the thought of having a root canal is all it takes to cause dental anxiety. We know. We’ve seen it on people’s faces when we’ve told them that’s what they needed.
The procedure has an unfortunate and undeserved reputation. The truth is that modern root canals are the best way to end the pain of your toothache in many cases.
Many people are fearful that fixing their infected tooth will hurt more than the infection itself. The reasons for this vary from person to person. Some people have heard horror stories from people who had this procedure done decades ago. Other people have been affected by how movies and television shows portray this treatment.
The reality is a root canal can save your tooth and your smile. It can give you back the full function of your tooth, too.
Root Out The Real Problem
Root canals procedures are needed when your tooth is infected. This happens when bacteria are able to reach the pulp (soft tissue inside your tooth). This can lead to irritation and inflammation, which is a problem partly because you also have nerves in this part of your tooth.
To deal with this, you need to remove the infected tissue.
To keep you as pain-free as possible during this process, we can do a couple of things. We will provide local anesthetic. For some patients, this is all they need to feel relaxed and comfortable. If you want more assurance, just ask about our medication to keep you calm and comfortable.
When the infection material has been removed, one of our doctors will fill your tooth with a special material. This greatly reduces your risk of reinfection. It all adds support for a dental crown.
After your treatment is complete, you should notice your soreness decreasing daily. In little time, you will be able to bite and chew like you could before the infection occurred.
Get Comfortable
Cavities, cracks, and breaks all create openings that can lead to tooth infections. The sooner you take care of those problems, the less likely you are to need a root canal treatment. Nevertheless, know that our team at Van Buskirk & Krischke DDS is ready to ease your pain.
