I had traditional braces and he just like every month when I came in just made sure that everything was going good and changed my wires. And originally I had a tooth in the middle of my mouth and then I … it’s now in the front and everything. It was really smooth. Like I thought it was going to be very crazy because my teeth were awful, but he actually made it really smooth and it went a little bit longer than we thought but that’s because things came up that we didn’t know were going to come up and like I had baby teeth that had never fallen out so he had to pull those.
And so I think it just was like it went longer but they came out better because it went longer. In the beginning I didn’t want to take pictures. My dad had printed a picture on a blanket for my mouth. I was like, “No, that’s not going to work.” I don’t like smile and now like I’m always smiling and I’m a lot more happier and confident like in school or in public.
I would recommend here because they are just always so nice and everything they do comes out fantastic. You won’t regret coming because they’re … they tell you if something’s going to hurt and usually nine times out of 10 it doesn’t hurt. You don’t feel anything. If you’re looking for somewhere where you’re going to be relaxed, calm and everybody’s nice, this is a really nice place to come to.
You know that something isn’t right. Your mouth hurts, and you know that isn’t normal.
The pain isn’t new, but you just sort of hoped it would go away. You learn that the tooth can’t be saved. It needs to be removed (and hopefully replaced).
For residents of Crown Point, IN and the surrounding area, we can do that for you at Van Buskirk & Krischke DDS. Our doctors have more than 50 years of combined dental experience. They are more than ready to handle your tooth removal as well as other oral surgeries, at our office.

Tooth Removal
If you have a severely damaged tooth, an impacted tooth, or crowded teeth, then you may benefit from having that tooth taken out. If you are missing most of your teeth, then removing the last few could set the stage for a better teeth replacement treatment.
No matter why you need a tooth or teeth taken out, we want to make the process as pain-free as it can be. This starts with providing amenities that can help you relax. Free Wi-Fi can give you a distraction. A free cup of Starbucks coffee can help warm you up. You can get a warm towel, too, and you can watch television while you wait.
Before the procedure, we’ll provide local anesthetic. After it’s taken effect, we will remove your problematic tooth. In some situations, this may be all you need. In other situations, tooth removal may be the first step in improving your oral health.
Bone Grafts
Tooth loss is more common than many people realize. More than 100 million Americans are missing at least one tooth, and more than 30 million people are missing at least one arch of teeth.
Losing teeth can cause several problems, but one that isn’t as obvious (at least not at first) is bone loss. This can cause some to develop wrinkles prematurely, and it affects how traditional dentures fit after a while.
Bone loss occurs because your jawbone is not being stimulated as it was when you had teeth. With roots or dental implants to replace them, you provide the stimulation your jaw needs to make new bone tissue. This prevents bone loss and keeps your jaw healthy and strong.
The problem is many people wait to get implants until they have already lost bone. As a result, they may not have enough bone to hold the implants in place. A bone graft can solve this problem. Essentially, this is a bone tissue transplant that is done to rebuild your jaw so it can secure implants.
